Hi, guys. Valerie V here. Just wanted to say hello and hope everybody had a great holiday weekend. Today, we got some very exciting news for all of you in the non-medical space. CMS has sent down their final ruling and their letter on Medicare Advantage plans and for 2019, allowing them to pay for nonmedical in-home care. I don’t know if that’s gonna mean a lot of care or just a little care or if that’s gonna make Medicare Advantage plans very expensive. I don’t really know the answers to all those things. But the good news is that if you have a nonmedical home care agency, you should start following this story and think about it. So here’s where I have all of this information for you. If you go to homecaredaily.com, you can see this is our news industry website and the very first article here is “Big Win for Non-Medical Home Care Today! CMS Medicare Advantage Final Ruling is OUT!” In this article, it’s really short. But we did put the full document here. So if you want to read the full document, you can download it. It’s a big PDF. It’s 270 pages.
So it’s really boring. But you can scroll through it and find the parts that apply to you. It has a table of contents and you can skip around a little bit. So I just wanted to say Happy Tuesday. Today’s Tech Tuesday. We’re not doing anything super techy today. But I wanted to shout out the great news to all of you that this is coming in 2019. So stay on your toes. Watch the updates for this and we’ll see how this plays out. If you want to subscribe to the newsletter that comes out one time per week, it’s the Home Care Daily newsletter. It gives you kind of just the rundown on the week’s news. You can go to homecaredaily.com and that very first thing that you saw there was Subscribe to Our Newsletter. All you have to do is put your email address in and we’ll send you that news every week and we will do updated on this story as they come about. I’m sure there will be ups and down and good and bad. But this should be a win for everybody in nonmedical home care. So have a great Tuesday.
Happy to share the great news with you and we’ll see you tomorrow. Bye.
