Today is Web Wednesday. What are we going to talk about on Web Wednesday? Well, I wanted to talk to you about a couple of things. First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you. We have successfully filled, or actually a little bit over filled our March group, our April group, our May group, and now we’re filling up for our June group. June 2018. So, the mentoring program is for anyone who wants to join our program, have our services done for them. But in the interim, learn how we’re doing things, and what we’re doing, and why it’s important, and learn how you can participate, and how you can take the time to really ramp up your online marketing. So far, everybody’s been doing great. They’ve been learning a lot. We have a monthly group call. We have a one on one individual call, and we have 13 videos on our private YouTube channel for you to watch, and those all are from anywhere from three minutes to 15 minutes. They’re not super long, but I add videos all the time. So, whatever people are wondering about, whatever they’re asking about we do a video. We make it happen and we teach you there reason why or how, or whatever it is you need to learn about online marketing for your home care business.
Some of you who come to us need a full website, some of you who come to us do not need a full website, and that’s okay. We have successfully filled the last three months of groups. Now we are now getting ready for our June group, June 2018. I can not even believe we are already there. So, the deadline to get your contract and your paperwork in for the June group is May 15th. And I realize today that when I’m recording this video or when you’re seeing it is going to be May 3rd, but May 15th is going to be on us like white on rice. So, we need you to get those contracts in.

If you’re a current client, you are more than welcome to switch over. The cost is the same. There is no difference. There’s no … You can go from one program that you’re in now to the other, and there shouldn’t be any difference in cost for most of you, and that is awesome. And you can read everything, you can fill out our form there, and you can schedule appointment to talk to Bob Costello so that you can get all of your questions answered. Then we set up your program, which takes us a couple week depending on how fast you roll. And then we start our June group. Our June kickoff meeting will be somewhere around June 3rd or 4th. It’s going to be in the middle of the week, sometime that first week of June, and I will send out all that information. So, we need your information in to us, though. Deadline, deadline, deadline, deadline May 15th, so that our crew can set you up because typically we’re setting up 10 to 12 people at a time. 10 to 12 agencies, so it gets a little hairy and we want to get you in fast. And we want to get you set up and rolling. So, May 15th is our deadline, deadline, deadline for the June 2018 group. All right, now, done harping on that. Please join us.
The next thing we’re going to talk about on Web Wednesday is a reminder about two things that are coming your way. First of all, by July of this year … I can’t even believe we’re two months away from this. By July of this year everybody needs to have a secure socket layer or a security certificate on their website. So, that means your website needs to go from http://www.whateveritis.com to https://whateveritis.com. So, you need to have that https in there. If we created your website we automatically include that in our web development. If we did not create your website then you need to ask your web developer to get that done. You only have until July and then Google’s going to start marking you as an unsecure website. It’s going to be a big deal at some point.
And then speed. Speed is on everybody’s mind in the geeky web world. You have to get your website’s speed up to par. We are working with all of the websites that we manage, host, and maintain for our clients. We are already putting those processes in place and implementing them, and so our clients will be taken care of on both ends by July 2018. If you’re our client and you’re watching, you do have to request. If you’re new, we automatically do it, but if you’ve been with us for a couple of years you need to make sure you reach out to us because this is not an automatic process. There is a little fee involved in getting that secure socket layer certificate, so you need to reach out to us.
But for all of you our there, please get your https set up and also make sure that you run some speed tests and get your speed up to par in Google’s eyes. If you don’t do that then you’re going to find yourself on mobile devices much lower in the search engine results, and you can’t afford to have a misstep there. Everybody’s on mobile, so make sure you’re checking that out and you’re talking to you web developers.
